"Since Singh Earthing System re-engineered our plant's grounding grid, we've had zero fault trip-offs — even through two straight monsoon seasons."

FAQ Section

Answers to the questions we hear most from plant engineers, contractors and facility managers.

Earthing resistance is the electrical resistance between the earthing system/electrode and the surrounding soil. It is measured in ohms (Ω). Low resistance generally provides a more direct path for fault currents to flow into the earth, but no single resistance value is suitable for every installation. The required resistance value depends on the type of installation, soil conditions, electrical system, and protection requirements. You can consult our technical team to determine the correct value for your installation. Our chemical earthing solutions are designed to achieve low and stable earth resistance for reliable grounding performance.

Chemical earthing uses a conductive compound around the electrode, keeping resistance low and stable across seasons, needing far less maintenance than a conventional pipe-and-charcoal pit.

We recommend an annual resistance test before monsoon. Chemical earthing pits typically need topping up only once every 3–5 years, versus annually for conventional pits.
